This review is from: Range Kleen Set of 6 Cup Cake Holder, Pink (Kitchen) We originally got these to pack "safe" cupcakes for my allergic daughter to eat at birthday parties. We love them so much we ordered a second set for my son to take muffins to school for his snack. They hold the cupcake or muffin so well that even if it tips over and rolls around a bit, the frosting is not even smudged up. At first I thought 6 was too many but about the same price of just two of the other brand. But as I said, we actually ordered a second set. It is a rare day when we don't have a few in the dishwasher, a few in the sink, and at least one packed up with a muffin for someone's snack. The design keeps your cupcake safely held within the holder without getting smashed. I get a cupcake every couple of weeks at the local cupcake shop and I have never had any problems with the cupcake fitting. The container is absolutely adorable and provides functional durability. This review is from: Range Kleen Set of 6 Cup Cake Holder, Pink (Kitchen) I bought these so my family could take cupcakes in their lunches. They are almost perfect! They not only protect the cupcake from being crushed by other things in a lunch sack, they keep them in place inside the holder - so the cupcake stays intact. The only issue is getting a cupcake out of the holder is a bit challenging. I can't really think of a solution for the problem though. I've tried the holders that open from the side and they don't protect the cupcake as well, so this seems like the better of the two options. You just get a little frosting on your fingers when lifting it out - which is bound to happen as you eat the cupcake anyway! Oh! And they're adorable! However, shame on you, Progressive!! The product came with Progressive paper labels on two sides and the entire top of the cover. The adhesive could be used on the space shuttle! It took a solid hour of hot water, Goo-Gone, scrubbing, peeling, and frustration in order to remove all the adhesive. As a result, the finish of the brand-new cover has been scratched and dulled. Not exaggerating. Surely a company that specializes in products with good design can do better on attaching labels. Edit 4 months later: in concept, I love this carrier, but, it is made to transport cakes and not heavier dishes. I used it last night to convey a 13 X 9 lasagna in its glass pan, and the carrier's handle broke. Probably my own fault,... Unfortunately, the aspect that makes this carrier seem so unique and practical is a fatal flaw. The carrier might work if you are transporting something other than delicate cakes, but the both times I've used this carrier to transport my cakes, I have had near disasters. The first time, someone curiously peered into the cake carrier while the lid was on to sneak a peak. She didn't realize it was collapsible and lightly placed her hand on one corner of the carrier and it collapsed onto the cake! The second time, I was trying to secure the carrier to the seat of my car so it would not slide around when I drove. I hit it wrong some how and the top collapsed on my cake again! Luckily, both times, it was only a partial collapse and the damage was minimal enough so that I could repair it. But, if you spend hours on decorating your cakes, the high risk of this thing...
